1Overview #
These are the terms you are agreeing to when you use this software, and the statement of what is done with personal information. They are shown here exactly as published - the same words you are asked to accept when you sign in.
The page is public: it opens from the sign-in screen, without signing in, so the terms can be read before agreeing to them.
2Who it is for #
- Anybody who wants to read the terms or the privacy statement - before signing in, or at any time afterwards.
3What it is not for #
- Recording that you accept them. That happens when you sign in, and is kept against your own login.
- Editing them. They are published by the supplier and cannot be changed from here.
4Step by step #
- Read the document. - The version and the date it came into force are shown at the top.
- Switch between the two with their own links. - Terms of Use and Privacy Statement are separate documents.
- Press Back to sign in when you are done. - Nothing here signs you in or out.
5The fields #
What is on the page
Everything here is read-only.
- Version - Which published version you are reading. A new version replaces the one before it. Read-only
- In force from - The date this version took effect. Read-only
- The document itself - The published text, as typed by your supplier. Read-only
6Rules and integrity #
- One published version at a time - What you see here is the version currently in force. When a new one is published, it replaces this and you are asked to accept it at your next sign-in.
- Acceptance is per person and per version - Being asked again does not mean something went wrong - a new version has to be accepted by everybody, against the words they were actually shown.
- The page changes nothing - Reading the terms is not accepting them, and this page has no effect on your account.
7Shortcut keys #
- Esc - Go back.
8If something does not work #
"This document has not been published yet. Ask your supplier, or come back later."
- Why
- The server answered, and said nothing of this type is published for your installation.
- What to do
- Ask your supplier to publish it. Waiting will not make it appear - this is not a connection problem.
"This document could not be fetched just now. It may be a connection problem at either end - try again in a moment."
- Why
- The server could not be read at all, so whether the document exists is unknown. This is a different message from the one above, on purpose.
- What to do
- Press Try again. If it keeps failing, check your own connection first, then ask your supplier.
The other document opens but this one does not
- Why
- Terms of Use and Privacy Statement are published separately - one can exist without the other.
- What to do
- Ask your supplier for the missing one.
You are asked to accept the terms again at sign-in
- Why
- A new version has been published since you last accepted.
- What to do
- Read it and accept - acceptance has to be against the version you were shown.
The text looks plain, with no formatting
- Why
- It is deliberately shown as plain text: blank lines make paragraphs and "- " makes bullets. A public page never renders text typed by somebody else as markup.
- What to do
- Nothing is missing - that is how it is published.
This is the help InvoiceNET® ERP shows beside the Terms and Privacy screen. Whether you have the screen depends on the modules of your licence and the rights your administrator has given you.
