Country Master

A Country is an ISO-2 country code with its name — the reference list other masters and documents pick a country from.

1What is this master? #

  • One record per country. Use Find (F2) to load one, Add (F3) to create, Modify (F4) to edit the name, Save (F5) to store.
  • After a save the page stays on the saved record in View mode — press Add (F3) to start the next one.

2Step by step #

The country list feeds address and trade-document pickers.

  1. Press Add (F3) , enter the country name (and code as the form asks), save with F5 .
  2. The value is then offered wherever an address or document asks for a country.

3Fields #

  • Country Code is the 2-letter ISO-2 code (e.g. IN, AE, US) and is required. It is stored in uppercase and is entered only when adding — once saved it becomes the record's key and is locked; in Modify mode the field is read-only.
  • Country Name is the full country name (up to 100 characters) and is required.

4Integrity rules #

  • The country code is unique — it is the record's key and cannot be changed after the first save. To correct a wrong code, delete the record and add it again with the right code.
  • User permissions (database permission triggers) can refuse a save or delete — if that happens the message names the missing permission.
  • Deleting a country also clears its document links automatically (database cleanup trigger).

This is the help InvoiceNET® ERP shows beside the Country Master screen. Whether you have the screen depends on the modules of your licence and the rights your administrator has given you.
