1What is this master? #
- Use Find (F2) to load an existing port, Add (F3) to create one, Modify (F4) to edit the loaded port, Save (F5) to store it.
- When this master opens as an embedded dialog from another page, load or save a port and press Use port to return its code to the caller.
2Step by step #
Port codes are the customs port identifiers export documentation carries.
- Press Add (F3) , enter the port code and name as published by customs, save with F5 .
- Export-facing vouchers and documents then offer it where a port is asked for.
3Fields #
- Port Code is the short identifying code (up to 10 characters, stored in UPPERCASE) and is required. It is entered only when adding — once saved it is locked and shown read-only in Modify mode; to change a code, delete the record and add it again.
- Port Name is the descriptive port name (up to 100 characters).
4Integrity #
- The port code is the record's unique key — no two ports can share a code, and the code cannot change once saved.
- User permissions (database _PERM triggers) can refuse a save or delete — if that happens the message names the missing permission.
- Deleting a port also clears its document links (database _DOCLINK trigger).
This is the help InvoiceNET® ERP shows beside the Port Codes screen. Whether you have the screen depends on the modules of your licence and the rights your administrator has given you.
