Product Style Master

A Product Style is a free-form tag used to group products by style / design (e.g. Casual , Formal , Classic ) for selection and reporting.

1How to work in this page #

  1. Find (F2): search by name or description.
  2. Add (F3): create a new style. Cursor lands on Name.
  3. Modify (F4): edit the loaded style.
  4. Delete: remove the current style (view mode), with confirmation.
  5. Save (F5): commit the add / modify. Name is required and must be unique.
  6. Cancel (Esc): discard the current edit.

2Step by step #

Styles are a light-weight variant tag — colour, finish, design number — carried on stock and voucher lines.

  1. Press Add (F3) , name the style — Matt Black — and save with F5 .
  2. Allocate it to the products that come in that style on the Product master.
  3. Voucher types with the style column visible then record which style each line moved.

3Rules and integrity #

  • The style name must be unique; a duplicate is refused before saving.
  • Products are offered in styles by name, so renaming a style that is already assigned to products can break that link. Deleting a style that is still assigned can leave those products referring to a missing style — retire an obsolete style rather than deleting it.

This is the help InvoiceNET® ERP shows beside the Product Style Master screen. Whether you have the screen depends on the modules of your licence and the rights your administrator has given you.
