1Who may change what #
| Signed in as | May change |
|---|---|
| The registered e-mail | Everything: contact, mobile, the e-mail itself, company and billing details, and the GSTIN. |
| An ERP administrator | Contact, mobile, company and billing details. Not the e-mail, and not the GSTIN. |
The country cannot be changed here: it decides the currency of the licence. Contact C-Land if it is wrong.
2How to use it #
- Press Edit on Contact, or on Company and billing. Change what is wrong and press Save. Every problem is listed at once, before anything is saved.
- To change the mobile, type the new number under Change the mobile and press Send the code. A code is sent to the new number by SMS; type it to confirm.
- To change the e-mail, type the new address under Change the e-mail and press Send the code. A code is mailed to the NEW address. Until it is typed, nothing changes; then invoices, reminders and the sign-in move to it, and both addresses are told.
- Recent changes lists what was changed, from what, to what, and by whom.

How a GSTIN is checked
- It is 15 letters and digits.
- It starts with the two-digit code of the state, which must be the State chosen.
- Characters 3 to 12 are a PAN - and the PAN typed, when there is one.
- Character 14 is normally Z.
- The last character is a check character worked out from the others, so one mistyped character is caught.
A change of GSTIN or State is also sent to C-Land's accounts team, because it changes how GST is charged on the next invoice.
